AMVCS was formed in 1975 and from then we have grown to a membership of over 170 and have 120 ex-military vehicles with 52 vehicles on historic vehicle registration. (RTA) The motto on our display banners reads: Preserving Yesterdays History Today for Tomorrow We hold monthly meetings at Campsie RSL and our Christmas Dinner as our December meeting. There is no meeting in Janurary. Meetings are well attended - to plan events such as: Australia Day display in Hyde Park - Anzac Day can involve us by supplying transport for old diggers at their various parades - Winter Rally - The Kurnell Run - Eastern Creek weekend and special events that we are asked to put on a display. Members receive a monthly newsletter which assists our country members and people unable to attend meetings to plan events and the newletter keeps all informed on general business. Some members have several vehicles, some have none - they class themselves as spare drivers or "professional passengers". Some members may have a restoration in progress. You do not need to own a vehicle to become a member, just an interest in military vehicles. We keep a vehicle registry of all vehicles and members - some vehicles in bits or rolling chassis awaiting restoration/ under restoration or on historic vehicle registration (RTA).
